Support and Options Worker
Support and Options Service
The Support and Options service is a new project for Genesis, aimed at supporting women who seek to make changes in their life and move on from sex work. The dedicated Support and Options worker will work with women on a one to one basis, using structured support plans to assist them in identifying their support needs and the goals they wish to achieve. The role is focussed on providing women with the tools and structure to allow them to move forward in their life, away from sex work. This is offered by giving practical and emotional support through regular one to one visits at a place of the woman's choosing This may be at their home or at the office.
The Support and Options worker is able to work with ten women at a time. The service is client led, meaning that the service will be driven by the needs of each individual woman. The Support and Options worker will work at the service user's pace and help them identify their own support needs.
